Texas Looks to the Future with Economist Dr. Lowell Catlett

Sep 24, 2008Dr. Lowell Catlett will speak on both “The Greening of America” and “Why Fear Fails and Actions Triumph” at two sessions for TEDC 2008 Annual Convention. The event's theme is "Sustainable Development". Governor of Texas Rick Perry and State of Texas Commissioner of Agriculture Todd Staples will also speak at the event.

“Major associations and corporations are turning to Dr. Catlett more than ever at this time,” says Kiela Hine, President of Convention Connection, “We are seeing an increased interest in requests for keynote speakers who can give our clients a window into the future of our economy.”

Dr. Catlett, who is a Regent’s Professor at New Mexico State University and Dean of the College of Agriculture and Home Economics, is an economic futurist and keynote speaker who speaks to a wide diversity of audiences in the US and abroad. He is also a consultant to the U.S. Departments of Agriculture, the Interior, Defense and Labor. He has also been a consultant to many Fortune 500 companies.

The Texas Economic Development Council (TEDC) is an Austin-based, statewide, non-profit professional association dedicated to the development of economic and employment opportunities in Texas. TEDC provides information, educational and legislative services to nearly 900 members.
